PHC President and CEO Lupe Alonzo-Diaz thanks partners in the fight against COVID-19

As spring has taken hold throughout the state, Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) has been reflecting on our successes of the past year, reiterating that our role in being a good partner to good government is as important as ever.
To that end, I am pleased to announce the publication of our 2022 Annual Report. The report clearly demonstrates the tremendous value PHC provides to the state of California and the millions of patients and providers our programs benefit.
Due to the nature of the pandemic, we were charged with quickly ramping up critical programs like KidsVaxGrant and Test to Treat (T2T) Equity Grants that allowed us to partner with more than 3,600 providers and community-based organizations in medically underserved communities to increase vaccine uptake and reduce the time between testing and treatment.
As those programs reach their conclusion, we want to thank those providers and partners who, with the help of these grants, stepped up to ensure more equitable access to vaccinations, testing and treatment. We’d also like to thank our staff, including our KidsVaxGrant Program Director Debra Miguel and our T2T Equity Grant Program Director Victoria Chesley, for their commitment to these programs and the patients they serve.
As we continue to look ahead, we look forward to working with our public and private sector partners in putting on our Health Equity Leadership Summit this fall, which will provide a safe space for diverse physicians, executives, advocates and allies to rejuvenate and strategize on how to continue their work to build community, develop leadership skills and make progress in our shared goal of equitable health care for all Californians. I hope to see you there!
