2022By Physicians for a Healthy California Test to Treat
The California Department of Public Health contracted with Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) to administer the COVID-19 Test to Treat Equity Grant program, with the goal of more expeditiously connecting patients who test positive for COVID-19 with therapeutic treatment. More than 220 safety-net providers and public health systems applied for approximately $92 million in grant funds.
Nearly $67 million was awarded to 175 organizations across 45 counties to enhance their test to treat infrastructure, conduct outreach and education, and implement telehealth services for their patients. Additional awards are still being considered and are expected to be finalized in December 2022.
