MedStudentsServe: Community service grants for medical student groups
May 2,
2022By Physicians for a Healthy California Medical Student Grants
In February, Physicians for a Healthy California awarded over $16,000 in awards to support 10 medical student projects across the state that will enhance the health and well-being of California’s communities. Medical student organizations and groups received grants to support free clinics, develop innovative public health outreach to the underserved and pioneer apps to enable better access to community services.
MedStudentsServe aims to develop the next generation of California’s physician leaders. The program is funded through endowment and restricted funds, which fund medical students or student organizations that support educational, advocacy, community service and outreach programs that enhance the health and wellbeing of California’s communities. The next application cycle will open in fall 2022.
