May 2,
2022By Physicians for a Healthy California KidsVaxGrant
On April 1, 2022, Physicians for a Healthy California launched the KidVaxGrant program in partnership with the California Department of Public Health. KidsVaxGrant offers two grant opportunities for Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) providers. KidsVaxGrant reimburses medical organizations (i.e., physician practices, independent pharmacies, student health centers, etc.) up to $10,000 per community vaccination site.
VFC providers newly enrolled in California’s COVID-19 vaccine program (myCAvax) could be eligible for $10,000 to support enrollment and launch of a vaccination center.
VFC providers already enrolled in myCAvax who are expanding operating hours could be eligible for $15,000. Expanded hours must be outside of normal or existing clinic hours and must be a minimum of 15 hours per site.
Applications are open until May 27, 2022, with approximately $10 million allocated to fund the program.
