CalMedForce, the Proposition 56-funded program supporting graduate medical education programs, announced its fifth cohort of awardees last month. Awardees are selected based on their ability to support and expand the physician workforce to meet the demands of California’s diverse and growing patient population, with a focus on medically underserved populations.
In this cycle, $37.9 million was awarded to 129 residency programs across 27 counties to support 210 resident positions in primary care and emergency medicine. For more information, visit CalMedForce.org.
